Adrie's first outfit

Adrie's IV got removed in the middle of the night last night so she got her first outfit today!! She is so cute! All of the girls got moved to a continuous feed inorder  to help them digest their food better.  So far this has helped all of them.  They are not having as much undigested milk in their stomaches. Things are going good keep up the prayers.
All girls got baths today.  Joe and I did Mia's bath (disasterous...it was both our first time alone and we did horrible).  Brynn had a blow out in her diaper and the nurse had to give her a bath, and we got an easier way to give a bath by our nurse tonight for Adrie.  We will be doing the easier way next time on all three girls... her way was a million times easier!! Oh well trial and error :)

Brynn and Mia's First Outfits

Today Brynn got her IV taken out for good and Mia got her PIC line taken out for good.  Since their IV's and PIC line are out they were able to put outfits on. Of course we didn't have any here so we had to borrow from the NICU.  Here are some pics hopefully Adrie will have hers out in the next few days so she can have her outfit on.

We had our first family photo shoot yesterday.  It was awesome.  Here are some pics. Enjoy! No bath today the nurses had to give because we had to check into the Ronald McDonald House.  We will have many more bathes though!!  Girls are doing good, they are uping their feeding and girls are tolerating it ok.  We need them to digest their food as they increase their food intake so the IV can come out and mommy and daddy will be happier!!  We are just taking one day at a time! Thanks for all the prayer keep them coming!

1 Week Old

Adrie

Brynn

Mia

Wow can't even believe the girls are one week old today!! What an amazing week.  The girls are doing so good.  They are all breathing room air, eating my breast milk ml at a time through a tube and gaining/maintaining their weights. I am going to try and update the blog daily so I can keep track of all of this!!!But it is so hard hopefully it will calm down soon :) The girls had head ultrasounds today to look for any bleeds or abnormalities.  All three were normal YEAH!!!! They will repeat the ultrasounds again in one month to make sure all is the same.  Mia is a pig and is eating 8ml at feeding time, Brynn is small and eats 5 ml and so does Adrie.  Brynn is our little one she got down to 1# 13 oz but today weighs 2# 1oz so she is doing good.  Brynn's PIC line had to be removed due to some complications but they are hoping to get by with just IV's and not have to redue her PIC, the other two have PICs and are doing good.  Mia today weighs  2# 8 1/4 oz. Adrie weighs 2# 3oz. Today they all got bathes and I got to give Mia hers. She was loved her hair washed but hated the body wash!! She also loved the massage of lotion afterwards (just like her momma).  Here is a pic of each girl and I will post more pics on facebook.  Please continue to pray for the girls they are doing great and we want to keep it that way!

30 weeks 1 day

In case you haven't heard yet the girls were born Friday August 19th at 6:41 pm, 6:42pm, and 6:43 pm.  It all started Weds night/Thursday early in the AM I  didn't sleep at all that night due to contractions and nasal congestion.  The contractions were about every ten minutes and sometimes strong and other times not so much.  I was trying to drink water and lay on side to see if they were just braxton hicks contractions. After Joe left for work I went into bed to sleep and if I woke up with the contractions I would call the Dr.  When I woke up I was still having them and she told me to go to Labor and Delivery to be monitored. This was Thurs at 10am.  We got up to L&D at Toledo Hospital around 11 and I was put on monitors for contractions and the girls' heart rates. All were good and the contractions were coming at a regular pace so they gave me the same drug as before to stop them but after an hour it didn't stop them.  They decided to give me another drug oral every six hours and keep me overnight for observation they checked me and i was 50% efaced and 1 cm dilated.  Around 5pm on Thurs I was moved to a room and was monitored the rest of the day and all night.  The contractions didn't stop so Thurs night they increased the dose to every four hours oral pill.  Friday morning was good, I wasn't having very many contractions, if I did have any they were lite.  Drs were thinking i would be discharged Friday for sure but around 12:30 I started not feeling well and nauseated.  The contractions were starting to come back but not extremely painful.  Dr Mason (who is my OB) said she was going to keep me another day and have the high risk dr come up and visit me.  Around 1pm Dr Hnat (high risk dr) came up and checked me and said I was more efaced and was definately dilated to 1cm.   He said he hoped that the babies didn't come tonight but it was a possiblility.  So I should stay on clear liquids just incase and be rechecked at 5:00.....wow now that was the first time someone had even mentioned the girls being born.  I of course became very nervous, but he reassured me it might not happen but he just wanted to be cautious.  Things kinda calmed down from that point my contractions were a minimum, Joe and my mom came down after work around 3pm we were sitting around talking and about 4pm (Friday) I started in on some prettty heavy contractions coming pretty regular. My nurse called over to Labor and Delivery were Dr Mason was and she said bring me over and she would check me.  Around 4:30 they moved me over to L&D and started me on Magnesium to stop the contractions at this point the nurse said I had about a 50% chance of delivering in the next 1 1/2 hr.  I wasn't nervous because I thought they would stop..The nurse tried to check my cervix but was unable due to Mia's head was coming down and blocking during contractions. So  Dr Mason had to come over around 5:20 and she tried to check and had the same lucky and I was still contracting which was not helping.  So inbetween contractions Dr Mason tried again and found Mia's head was really far down, I was 90 % efaced and dilated to 2 cm with Mia's sac bulgding.  She said we are going for a c-section now and off we went.  The girls were born
Mia Lynn 6:41 pm 2# 12 oz 39 cm
Brynn Attison 6:42 pm 2# 5 oz 36.5 cm
Adrie Jo 6:43 pm  2# 8oz 40 cm
They are in the NICU but breathing on their own with nasal O2 and they have biliruben light on them. But they are doing well for being so early!! i will keep you guys posted and hopefully post pics tomorrow. Please keep all of us in your prayers. Pray for the girls to be strong and for my milk to come in.

29 weeks

We had our ultrasound today and boy o boy was it crazy, confusing, and exciting all in one.  First off all are well and doing good.  We got a little surprise when the ultrasound tech thought that Baby A (Mia) was a boy.   That was crazy, but she was mistaken...she just thought Baby A was a boy not by ultrasound but by just remembering me from previous scans. She later confirmed that they were still girls...no surprise yet!!  HAHAHAHA.  Baby B was being smashed by Baby C, so we didn't get any pictures of her so I am not sure if I am going to post the other pics of A and C since they are not equal...I know it starts already :) But I can tell you their weights
Baby A 2 # 11oz
Baby B 2 # 4 oz
Baby C 2# 3 oz

All are well and they made another appt/ultrasound for 4 weeks.  That is the middle of Sept. Getting down to the end :)

28 weeks

Well 28 weeks didn't treat us so well. The girls tried to make their grand entrance Tuesday but thankfully with the help of medication we were able to stop that from happening.  Around 4:30 am I woke up and vomited!!! Yeah oh how fun! Then started having contractions every 10 minutes. We went to the hospital and they put me on the monitors. It was like my belly was a mass of cables and monitors.  The contractions picked up to every two to three minutes so they gave me a shot to slow them to a stop.  Thankfully it worked and I wasn't dilated or thinning at all.  Boy o Boy did that hurt when they checked...never want to do that again :) So we are to rest and drink plenty of water and that is what we are doing.  We have an appt and ultrasound next week excited to know their weights.
